National Sexual Trauma Center
 In 1994, Dr. Kathleen Quinn
chaired the Louisiana Governor’s Task Force on Sexual Abuse of Minors in which
she developed programs including interdisciplinary teams to address the needs of
communities for prevention and treatment of sexual abuse across the state.
As an outgrowth of this work, she founded the
National Sexual Trauma Center and, as its Executive Director, has presented in
national conferences; conducted workshops for hospitals, judges, and law
enforcement officials; and served as faculty in university continuing education
programs for investigators, teaching in investigator training programs and
programs for law enforcement officials being promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Today, the National Sexual Trauma Center serves
as a clearinghouse for educational and resource materials, and through its
auspices, for non-profit activities offered to the community.
